Technical Manager

TECHNICAL MANAGER - PERMANENT - WEST SUSSEX

A food manufacturing company in West Sussex are looking for a Technical Manager to join their team on a permanent basis working Monday to Friday.

This role will oversee 3 manufacturing buildings supporting technical operations and business strategies, you will ensure efficient production of high quality products, provide technical expertise and leadership to the team whilst ensure regulatory standards are met at all times.

You will manage the technical operations across site i.e. the daily manufacturing processes and implement improvements, develop quality control procedures to maintain high standard product and lead technical projects focused on process improvements and equipment upgrades. This role will entail the training and development of technical staff while promoting a continuous improvement/ innovation culture amongst the team.

As part of the leadership team you will collaborate with senior management to develop business strategies, analyze production data and market trends, assist with budgets/ financial planning as well as handle vendor and stakeholder management i.e. equipment suppliers, negotiate contracts for materials and services and coordinate sales/ marketing/ supply chain teams.

Successful candidates will have experience within a technical management role working with stakeholders within the food/ FMCG manufacturing industry. Candidates will have experience in managing complex projects and implementing process improvements, strong analytical/ problem solving skills and have effective communication and influential skills.
