Engineering Manager

• Responsible for successfully delivering engineering activities to time, cost and quality across all engineering aspects of the Sonobuoys portfolio.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that solutions meet requirements and are fit for purpose.
• The Sonobuoys portfolio spans new product development, in -service support and products that are already in production.
• This role will suit someone with a background in Sonar or Acoustics, who has extensive experience of work package management.
  
  Ideally you will have:
• Experience of managing teams of teams
• Experience of engineering estimation, with the ability to review, challenge and defend estimates
• Created Work Breakdown Structures and defined delivery strategies
• Experience of producing engineering plans with dependencies, assumptions, risk and opportunities identified, communicated and managed
• An understanding of the different design gates a project goes through, from bid to full scale production readiness review
• A background in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with an understanding of Software and Systems engineering
• Coaching and/or mentoring experience

This role requires eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance (ideally with no caveats).

This is a hybrid role giving you the flexibility to balance working from home and being on-site as necessary, with occasional UK travel. To be successful in the is role you are likely to need to be regularly on site at Greenford e.g. a couple of days per week.

Salary: 80K - 90K (+ relocation assistance)
