Job Title: Technical Program Manager

Client Location: Central London - Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Salary/Pay Rate: £107,990 per annum, pro rata (PAYE)

Duration: 6 months


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager to lead and drive technical programs for a portfolio of smart building systems, including control systems, IoT, energy management, and cyber security. This is a temporary position in which the Program Manager will proactively work with stakeholders to strategize, plan, and execute programs to meet defined objectives. The role requires managing timelines, budgets, and quality metrics across multiple geographies, while ensuring effective vendor management and continuous improvement.


This is a 6 months contract, offering £107,990 per annum, pro rata (PAYE).


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and engage stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and align on project objectives, success criteria, and timelines.
  • Define, organize, and manage program activities, ensuring smooth execution to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on decisions.
  • Implement and continuously improve processes and methodologies, leveraging best practices and program metrics.
  • Manage vendor negotiations, procurement processes, and ensure managed service delivery is on time and within budget.
  • Lead change management efforts, ensuring minimal disruption and driving smooth implementation of new processes.
  • Build effective program teams, fostering relationships within and across the organization, and resolving project constraints and escalations.
  • Apply technical knowledge in smart buildings, IoT systems, and cyber security to support engineering decisions and program execution.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience managing programs for technical portfolios, working with cross-functional and outsourced teams.
  • Experience managing programs across multiple geographies, with responsibility for timelines, budgets, and quality metrics.
  • Strong procurement and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Background in smart buildings, control systems, IoT systems, IoT cyber security, energy management, or similar technical domains.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to communicate program goals and progress to stakeholders at all levels, including VP-level communications.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, establishing metrics and driving future business needs through data analysis.
  • Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) to manage complex projects.
  • Ability to influence and align teams across multiple projects, managing dependencies, escalations, and delivering results on time.
  • Technical understanding of relevant domains such as networking protocols, cloud computing, and engineering processes.
