Senior Technical Specialist – relocate to live and work in the Cayman Islands!

Our client is an award-winning Microsoft partner that provides a range of technical solutions and IT consultancy services in the Caribbean region. Specializing in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft cloud technologies, they have built a niche market in the education sector. On their behalf, we are searching for a Senior Technical Specialist to join their staff team in Grand Cayman on a full-time basis. This is a client-facing, consulting role that requires the ability to maintain excellent client and vendor relationships while effectively managing multiple duties daily.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design technical solutions based on consultancy meetings with clients
- Install, configure & troubleshoot server and desktop operating systems and applications.
- Provide 2nd / 3rd line support, owning escalations from the Service Desk and working as a team to resolve issues either onsite or remotely
- Provide technical and commercial guidance to other members of the team.
- Manage projects and other team members to meet deadlines
- Maintain timely accurate records in the company CRM & service Desk application
- Perform remote IT systems management and other administrative tasks.
- Assist in the creation and establishment of goals, policies, and procedures.
Required Experience and Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience architecting and implementing solutions for Windows Server (physical and virtual) and networking infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting Microsoft 365
- Relevant Microsoft certifications and education
- Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors and the business community
- Ability to work to deadlines running multiple projects with varying completion dates
- Experience managing others and monitoring and maintaining a service desk and RMM software
- Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem solving and exceptional customer service
- Experience working in the education vertical with schools/groups of schools would be an asset
This is a full-time position based in Grand Cayman. Due to the relocation involved, mobile and adaptable candidates are sought with outside interests that would lend themselves to Cayman’s idyllic Caribbean Island living environment.
