Our Niche Market Engineering client is seeking a Commercial Manager working within Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Projects ideally someone coming from a mission-critical, critical engineering, data centre, HVAC, Facilities Engineering PROJECTS environment, Someone who understands the nuances and complexities around the data centre MEP engineering piece.

This individual will become part of the central commercial team within this progressive and very well thought engineering organisation, looking to join a small but very effective commercial team, dealing with a variety of projects at one time all at different levels of involvement, managing and enhancing the working relationship between the customers, internal engineering project teams and principal contractors.

This is a senior commercial management role reporting directly to the company's Commercial Director after proving and establishing yourself in the business there is scope for progression and promotion, ideal candidates will and should be self-sufficient, great motivators and man managers, innovative and resourceful ideally ambitious and career-minded.

Ideally, we seek a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager Engineering Projects / Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s central commercial team. This key role will be responsible for managing a team and several Ongoing projects

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the MEP / Projects/facilities management industry, or general Principal contractor background with exceptional financial acumen, and a proven track record in contract management and customer relationship management.


Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management: Oversee and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, timely renewals, and negotiating favourable conditions for the company and clients.

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop proposals, and lead negotiations to secure new contracts and partnerships.

Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and conduct regular financial reviews to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, address their needs and concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for business expansion.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
