About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Reliability Lead to join the engineering team at our Taste & Nutrition Manufacturing facility in Menstrie. This role works collaboratively with multi-discipline teams from Engineering, Sustainability, Maintenance and Reliability. You will play a crucial role in achieving reliable equipment and manufacturing systems.

This is a permanent and full-time position. The plant operates 24/7 and is a continuous process.

What you’ll be doing?

You will assume responsibility to prevent failures, maximize operational performance and throughput, optimize costs, and extend asset lifecycles by carrying out the following:

  • Drive the site engineering maintenance strategy, optimize the maintenance program, and develop improvement areas for underperforming assets.
  • Utilize Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancing asset performance.
  • Lead and support the analysis of equipment and system failures using problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
  • Collaborate with project teams during equipment selection and define preventative/predictive maintenance strategies for new assets.
  • Assess and evaluate site maintenance staff, provide training, and transfer knowledge to enhance team capabilities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to enhance our manufacturing and operational capabilities.
What you can bring to the role
  • Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualification, diploma, or degree
  • Proven experience in a similar role with leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in technical analysis and report writing.
  • Skilled in interpreting CAD drawings for electrical, mechanical, and facilities applications.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive change and promote technical journaling.
