Role Title – Manufacturing Technical Support Scientist

Hourly Rate - £16 - £17.20

Working hours – 37hours/week 8am to 4pm (Flexible)

Prospective start date - ASAP

Term: 12 Months

Role purpose / summary

Our globally recognised client are looking for a Manufacturing Technical Support Scientist to work in their Cardiff Site. Do you have a passion for developing the next generation of purification technology? If so, then our client would love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

Work as part of a Technical Support team in the manufacturing operations of the Biology & Chemistry department, to deliver products that support our customers in the areas of genomic, and proteomic isolation, purification, amplification and identification.

Troubleshoot production issues and support production team leaders in risk assessing impacts to quality.

Lead technical improvement projects to facility growth against the departments KPI’s

Perform technical trouble shoot activities to ensure performance of processes within expected parameters, delivering products to our customers that meet specification.

Key Skills/ requirements

We’re looking for someone with a strong scientific background in either Chemistry or Biology based subjects, preferably a graduate in a relevant scientific discipline.

Experience or knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment, and potential experience in problem solving approaches is ideal, but not necessary
