Senior Manager - Head of Engineering

Orbition Group are currently working with a market-leading professional services consultancy that deliver Data Engineering, Data Strategy & Management and Analytics services to range of large enterprise clients.

Our client is now further developing their team in the Engineering space and is now looking for a Senior Manager to bring their strong technical experience and integrate this into their commercial offering.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic technical leadership and vision for clients, and internally, encompassing data, platform, and DevOps disciplines.
• Oversee the successful delivery of data engineering projects
• Define the overall engineering roadmap, aligning with company objectives and market trends
• Mentor and guide senior engineers
• Serve as a Databricks and Microsoft SME for their internal community and as a company ambassador externally - create and deliver engaging technical and thought leadership content

Skills required!

• Minimum 5 years in senior positions
• Databricks & MS experience
• Deep understanding of data, platform and DevOps engineering principles and best practices.
• For this position, it would be beneficial to have worked in a consultancy and pick up skills technically and commercially.
