Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor working for a company where you position lacks autonomy, and your development has become static? If so, this excellent role could be the perfect opportunity for you to take the next positive step in your career. You will be responsible for managing a range of diverse projects in the civils sector on behalf of nationally recognised clients. Furthermore, this is a new role for the business due to winning new work, adding to their already extensive and secure client-base. The successful candidate will play a key role both on-site and head office activities, contributing to the growth and success of their projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage all aspects of projects costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.
  • Implements precise measurement and valuation processes for all aspects of groundworks projects.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates on project financial status, whilst identifying any cost overruns and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions and project-related documentation.


What are we looking for?


A background in the civil engineering sector is essential for this role, ideally with previous experience working for a sub-contractor. As well as:


  • Proven track record in project quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management and contract administration.
  • Strong understanding on construction contracts, including JCT and NEC.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
