Full job description

You will lead our Basildon Facility to meet customer requirements with full accountability for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people. You will efficiently manage resources, implement cost controls, and adhere to quality standards by driving continuous improvement through modern manufacturing principles.

Site Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • People Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Business Operations Optimisation: Enhance operations for maximum efficiency.
  • SQCDP Focus: Ensure excellence in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People metrics.
  • Integration Support: Align with group principles and processes.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Improve operational performance.
  • Production Management: Meet customer specifications and delivery timelines.
  • Production Planning: Coordinate production targets.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Performance Reviews and Analysis: Conduct reviews and manage non-conformance and risk assessments.
  • Resource Management: Deploy necessary technical skill sets and resources.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure health, safety, and environmental policy compliance.
  • Objective Setting and Performance Assessment: Set objectives, assess performance, and identify skill gaps.
  • Budget Management: Manage the annual manufacturing budget and forecasts.
  • Project Budget Management: Oversee project budgets from start to finish.

Site Manager Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities with excellent organisational skills.
  • Preferably would have a manufacturing/engineering degree or equivalent qualifications, with significant leadership experience in an engineering-manufacturing role.
  • High commercial acumen with P&L understanding and knowledge of manufacturing, procurement/supply chain, and industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning, Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and ERP/MRP systems.
