Group Head of Technical
Are you an experienced technical manager within the chilled food category?
Do you have a strong desire to deliver the highest quality products for the largest retail partners?
Are you experienced in developing technical teams, policies and procedures within a multi-site manufacturing environment?
MacGregor Black is partnering with a Chilled Food business on the search for a Group Head of Technical. This is a perm role based in the Scunthorpe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the multi-site technical department with diligence, independent judgment, and a values-led approach.
- Leadership and development of the technical team across the business estate.
- Align systems and processes across the cluster.
- Working with the Leadership team, lead the development and delivery of the Food Safety & Quality culture across the business.
- Develop appropriate KPI’s to monitor, maintain and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure transparent and strategic alignment with Customer expectations and requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on all Food Safety, quality, and technical matters related to the Cluster.
- Optimise value across the technical estate.
What are we looking for?
- MSc in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Proven senior leadership experience in a technical management role within the chilled food industry for 5+ years.
- Knowledge of HACCP (Level 4 minimum), BRC, and other food safety management systems including customer (retailer) standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience within chilled food production and can relate to the planned operational processes.
Salary – circa £110k + car allowance + benefits.
