Workonomics are partnering with a company you likely haven't heard of by name, but have almost certainly interacted with before.

Their invisible technology helps tackle online fraud. Every time you use your debit or credit card online, their fully-automated, real-time platform makes your end-to-end purchasing journey safer.

Their digital commerce infrastructure sits behind the scenes to empower retailers with increased approvals, smarter decisions, and smoother checkouts. This means more sales, and happier customers.

Their London team is now hiring a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the team shaping the future of observability in the organisation.

In the next 12-18 months you'll be:

• focused on company-wide migration to the new observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Honeycomb)
• leading a team of 3 smart, experienced, technically-sophisticated software engineers
• supporting the team in advancing their careers

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of the following experience:

• managing 3+ engineers for 3+ years
• developing complex backend systems using any of Kotlin, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java
• strong familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• working with public clouds (ideally AWS)

You'll be building an observability platform that supports hundreds of services and thousands of VMs, doing hundreds of changes per day, and is used by 150+ engineers across 20+ teams, with further growth expected in the coming years.

This role will suit someone who's passionate about developer experience, and constantly looking for better ways of doing things.
