Electrical Engineering Team Leader

Objective of the function:

Primary - Supervision of all aspects of the Electrical Maintenance Team (Both Shifts), ensuring safety is the priority.

Secondary - Carry out day to day installation and maintenance functions on both single and three phase electrical distribution systems. These will include but not be limited to - breakdowns in all areas of the company, preventative maintenance activities and general repairs of auxiliary equipment.

Performance Management of the Electrical Maintenance Team to meet project targets, KPIs and encourage upskilling & personal development.

Plan electrical projects, planned and unplanned maintenance activities across all departments and shifts.

Liaise with production management team on site to deliver projects and Maintenance activities on time and to budget.

Keep up to date with all relevant electrical codes of practices.

Identify & Implement "Best Practice" and Work instructions for periodical plant maintenance.

To ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner and FULLY comply with all EH&S legislation and Company procedure.

Support the procurement team to deliver cost savings.

To ensure plant machines performance is maximized through effective response, fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs.

To assist in developing planned maintenance schedules, and to undertake the maintenance activities in a timely manner and to high standards.

Involvement in Continuous Improvement and Lean Activities working with Project Engineers and Production team.

Testing of both portable appliances and fixed wiring systems.

Testing of machine electrics and safety devices.

Installation of measuring and monitoring systems.

Use of SAP computer software to log maintenance activities and to keep them accurate and up to date.
