Due to growth my client, a well-respected Specialist Chemical business is now looking to hire a Project Manager. This involves managing individual projects and programs through their lifecycle from proposal to project closure. Role and responsibilities:
You will be an ambassador for change encouraging our colleagues to embrace and enjoy changes to our business with overall responsibility to manage projects (typically <£1m).
- Project management with responsibility for full lifecycle, planning, delivery, and budgeting within a specified timeframe.
- Responsible for Risk Management, mitigating and minimize project risks.
- Responsible for project Change Management.
- Organising the project structure to ensure the project's success.
- Providing strong direction for a small project team and embedding a strong culture of ownership.
- Overall responsibility for the financial performance and benefits realisation of projects.
- Planning and maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress including key milestones and tasks, person-hour estimates, and material cost goals.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience with Proactive management of live projects and external resources to steer & influence the successful outcome on-time and to budget.
- Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMI-PMP
- Highly computer literate and have excellent knowledge of Microsoft office packages including MS Project Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills. You will be capable of delivering complex projects balancing the sometimes conflicting priorities of quality, time, cost, and scope.
- Advantageous if you have experience in the Chemicals Sector is desirable or other highly regulated industries.
- Advantageous to have experience with IT/ERP projects, desirable
- Advantageous to have LEAN manufacturing techniques
