Job Requirements/Description

We are actively recruiting an Engineering Planner to join our clients Maintenance Team, you will provide coordination and support across the engineering department laising with each site manager and reporting in to the Senior Engineering manager

The Engineering Planner

  • Plan and lead the maintenance shutdown/outages, establishing best engineering practices
  • Produce, control and populate the engineering shift plan for all engineers to include holidays and call out rotation
  • Chair weekly scheduling meetings for planned activities and review Purgo with engineering team
  • Control, populate and prioritise a work backlog for all maintenance activities or activities involving the engineering team
  • Key involvement with the CMMS system
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Manager to provide a schedule of work for shift engineers to maintain and improve the reliability of assets
  • Liaise with production to ensure that routine maintenance is planned, and job requests are executed and costed efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure that equipment removed from the plant, which is being repaired in-house, is coordinated through the shift plan, work orders allocated to the repair of each item and appropriate cost captured
  • Control of accurate records and documentation
  • Coordinate and site contact for contractors to ensure safe and controlled activities are
  • completed on-site and to the quality of engineering standards
  • Ensuring all RAMS for planned work are available and up to date, internal planned work & contracted work
  • Create and review contract orders
  • Review planned preventative maintenance across all sites
  • Plan capex projects/ Project support as required
  • Review and maintain training schedule with L&D coordinator
  • Complete stock review with engineering team support as required
  • Site visits as required to assist site teams with planning matters

Skills

  • Have sound knowledge of health & safety requirements
  • Have a meticulous and logical approach
  • Have strong planning and organisation skills
  • Be able to anticipate problems and provide effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of word and excel
  • Team management and leadership experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in a similar planning role would be an advantage

Salary is between £30,000 and £36,000 DOE plus a

37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 07:30-17:00
