CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for an Engineering Shift Supervisor to join the team based in London. The successful candidate will lead and maintain the client building and all equipment and systems in prime condition utilising traditional maintenance methods, predictive maintenance techniques and building analytics.

All equipment within CBRE's jurisdiction is be maintained at optimum working efficiency and to respond effectively to all defects and engineering requests.

As the Shift Leader, you will work alongside another shift tech in your team and another total of 6 engineers inclusive of shift leads operating a traditional continental days/nights shift pattern. Additionally, there will be a day engineer and a Fabric technician within your responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure that all Health and Safety and PTW systems are administered correctly.

Maintaining and keeping the buildings mechanical & electrical systems along with all associated component parts in excellent working repair.

Routine tests, checks and record keeping for all the buildings systems through traditional methods and use of building analytics and predictive maintenance techniques.

Maintain water systems and all records to the highest standard in accordance with L8 Legislation; alongside the designated Water Treatment Engineer.

Undertake regular walk-rounds of Customer areas and plant rooms to note and rectify any defects and to maintain in a clean, tidy and safe environment.

Liaise and arrange sub-contractor support and effectively manage and control all sub-contractors.

To monitor the buildings environmental temperature, humidity, and space conditions and ensuring that they are maintained in accordance with the business requirement for comfortable working conditions within the office environment.

To monitor and adjust as deemed necessary systems within the (BMS, lighting, metering).

Provide innovative solutions to improve building, plant and system energy efficiency.

Manage, rectify and record defects through the Customer reporting system, working with and leading a team to ensure all are rectified within SLA timeframes.

Engagement and updating CBRE and Customer stakeholders on all issues and progress.

They must be flexible in their attitude to work from both a skills diversification and a willingness to work overtime of out of their NWH standpoint.

Provide cover for opposite team when needed

Complete incident notifications and updates in line with contract requirements

Key Skills:

Technically qualified as an Engineer. (City & Guilds, HNC etc).

C&G 236 parts 1 and 2 as a minimum if electrically biased.

Must be able to communicate in an articulate manner both verbally and electronically.

Technical, professional, administrative or good technical knowledge of building services systems and plant.

Knowledge of advanced BMS systems, predictive maintenance and building analytics.

Knowledge of how assets and components operate and signify early signs of failure

Experience with condition-based and predictive maintenance tools and techniques. (Desirable)

Previous shift leader or team management experience

Working in similar business critical environment. (Desirable)

Building services experience or in a similar field. (Desirable)

Must be able to work as a team and independently.

Takes ownership of issues and ensures completion.

Able to organise and manage own work load.

Good interpersonal skills.

Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent customer service understanding and skills.

Self-motivated with drive to exceptional service.

Proactive individual.

Part of a team providing 24/7 site coverage.

Shift pattern split between four shift teams.

Provide out of hours call out cover/escalation when required.
