Alliance Door Engineering is an independent company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of industrial doors and roller shutters.

The Role - Office Administrator

Reporting to the Operations Director, as an Administrator you’ll be responsible for completing a diverse range of general reception, office and marketing related tasks within a busy office environment. Your duties will include:

  • Answering incoming telephone calls, transferring to colleagues and taking messages where necessary
  • Carrying out purchase and sales ledger administration
  • Processing sales orders and chasing approvals
  • Managing and developing engaging content on social media channels
  • Processing Engineer job sheets
  • Booking in deliveries and collections with customers
  • Booking in installations and servicing for Engineers
  • Arranging for plant to be delivered to site
  • Printing off CE and UKCA (Conformity Assessed) badges
  • Completing Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) for Engineers
  • Managing returns from customers

Our Requirements – Office Administrator

  • Proven experience in an administration role within an office environment
  • Approachable with a friendly and professional manner
  • Superb communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level of numeracy and literacy, with strong attention to detail
  • IT literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to learn and adapt to in-house IT systems
  • Accurate and timely data entry skills
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Team player with a flexible and can do attitude

Experience of sales and purchase ledger, and knowledge of social media for business promotion would be highly advantageous, although not essential. 

The Package

As an Office Administrator working at our office in Wigan, you’ll benefit from:

  • A salary in the region of £19,000 to £23,000, with the level dependent on experience
  • Permanent contract
  • Full time hours, working 40 hours Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, flexibility may be needed on occasion
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
