Fabricator / Welders (Permanent contracts, working 36 hours over 4 days per week)

The Role – Fabricator / Welder

As the Fabricator / Welder, you will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor as you assist the department in the fabrication and welding of steel frames, structures, sheet metal fabrication and other duties as required within our general fabrication job shop. Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:

• Evaluating and interpreting drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured
• Working with various sections and plate material between 1-30+ mm thick
• Highlighting and communicating any minor faults that may arise which could cause delay to production
• Ensuring work is carried out to exact tolerances, and that all operating conditions are correct before commencing manufacture
• Maintaining accurate records of production and other operational data

Our Requirements – Fabricator / Welder

• Be a time-served Fabricator / Welder (using MIG or TIG), with an NVQ or City & Guilds in Fabrication / Welding
• Proven experience gained in a factory environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of workshop tools (guillotine / laser cutter, Band Saw, Brake Press etc.)
• Be a team player with a flexible attitude, and a good eye for detail

The Package

• A salary of £26,526 (equivalent to £14.17 per hour)
• Permanent contract, working 36 hours per week over 4 days, 7am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday
